"City of Bones"-By Cassandra Clare

I was on my way to visit my parents & sister, in sunny Las Vegas, Saturday but I needed a fun read to get me there. Hey, it's a long flight! So I asked my teenage daughter, have you got anything good for me? She promptly pulled out "City of Bones" By Cassandra Clare. I absolutely inhaled it during the trip!

Not only was it inventive, but also had a clever use of character building/plot twist! Lucky for us it's the first in The Mortal Instruments series. I especially enjoyed the colorful description and Jace Wayland's vivid emotions coupled with his tormented soul. For all you proactive girls out there, the female characters are portrayed in a strong assertive manor so you'll enjoy them as well.

I'm happily on to book two "City of Ashes", can't wait to see what happens next!

oh and the music&#82

oh and the music…well, i would but something alternative, like coldplay? one republic?keane? i think the song bittersweet symphony by The Verve would be nice……Here are some suggestions: the song Poker Face by Lady Gaga would play when Tania (hopefully) dumps Edric for Connorthe song Love Game by Lady Gaga would play when Connor tries to make a move on Tania (haha)the song My Life Would Suck Without You by Kelly Clarkson would come on if …ew…..Tania goes back to Edric ( tho i dont want that to happen)the song Crystal Ball by Keane comes on sometime in the movieit would be hilarious if when Gabriel Drake comes up in the movie, Michael Jackson’s song BAD would come on !!!Paramore songs are cool, too!!also, from metro station’s song 17 Forever should come on sometime in the movie ( when Tania is 17 with Connor!!!! That would be sooo cute)Yah, i also agree with Carolina and Addie that the girl on the cover really, really should play Tania ttyl

Touch of Power was good. I have some trouble with Cassandra Clare's books too. I read City of Bones and didn't rellay feel any desire to continue on with the series. I know she has devoted fans but something is missing for me. Here is my . Happy reading!
